Września District has the features of lowland scenery which is typical for Great Poland Region. The extensive plains are covered with fields and meadows cut by lines of forests. The Warta River, flowing in the southern part of the district - the third biggest river in Poland - is the source of specific properties of microclimate of the whole region. Its tributaries make the neighbourhoods touristically attractive. The priceless treasure of our terrains - the well kept natural environment with diverse floral and animal world - is under special care. The legal protection covers the considerable area of the district. Żerkowsko-Czeszewski and Nadwarciański Landscape Parks, existing for many years, are mainly located on the areas included in the project of Polish Nature 2000. The natural old parks Dwunastak and Czeszewski Las are for the nature enthusiasts. Former court parks, kept untouched till now, the numerous tourist foot and bicycle routes complete the uncommon values of landscapes of the southern part of Września District.

On the terrain of Kołaczkowo, Miłosław and Pyzdry boroughs the Leader+ Programme is being introduced, supporting and activating country areas, raising their tourist attractiveness as well as encouraging the economic activity. The programme made the building of the river harbour in Pyzdry be refinanced and allows the creation of the equestrianbicycle path between Września and Pyzdry in the future.
